local fires, those battling the fires, and the many individuals offering
various forms of assistance.

Praying:
Loving Lord, we come
to You trusting in Your mercy and knowing that Your steadfast love endures
forever.
Look with mercy on
those who have been harmed or displaced by the fires. Grant them Your strength
to meet the days ahead. Allow those who are affected to experience Your
peace which passes all understanding and gives new hope in the resurrection.
Be with all who
offer assistance; may Your Spirit uphold them and provide safety.
Move within those
who are able to give aid, that we may be Your hands, feet and heart here on
earth.
Give us the
assurance of Your presence, even in this difficult time, so that we can cling
to Your promise of hope and life shown through Jesus Christ, our Savior and
Lord, Amen.

A few ways to donate money:
A) Make
donations to the Great Plains United Methodist Church Disaster Fund.
Send check to Faith United Methodist Church office with notation
that it is for the ‘GP Disaster Fund.’
B) United
Way is taking financial donations for those impacted by the fire.
Call 2-1-1 about the donations.
C) Round-up At Dillon’s, March 8 through March
14, ask your Dillon’s cashier to round your bill up to the nearest dollar or
tell them you’d like to make a larger donation.
Your
donation will go to the American Red Cross to help people affected by the
Kansas Wildfires.
D) The Reno County VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) is accepting monetary donations to assist those without
resources to repair and clean up damage from the fires in Reno County.
