I am sharing Pastor Larry's Facebook post from today to help give insight as to what a task that will be. Please continue to pray for our country and the world as we continue to deal with this pandemic.
Matthew 18:20 Jesus said, “For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.” Some folks want to just pick a Sunday to start having church again and open up. It’s not that simple, at least not if you’re part of a United Methodist Church. The pictures I post today are from our Great Plains UM conference web site. These are, Best Practices for Returning to Our House’s of Worship. The latest set of guidelines that our churches received for Opening Recommendations is 9 pages long. Contained in those 9 pages are web sites to click on for even more information. Church councils and Pastors will have to look at these Recommendations and make decisions before we pick a Sunday to start having church together in the Sanctuary. Please be patient, we are trying to open back up safely. We are also trying to follow the State of Kansas guidelines, different Phases, difficult numbers. Honestly, we don’t need “two or three for Jesus to show up.” Pray for Jesus to be with you as you read scripture, pray and listen by yourself. Jesus will be with you. Church will open up, be patient please. God Bless you today.
